The Unionville Villagers' Association started out in 1998 as
the Village of Unionville Property Owners' Association (VUPOA),
a collection of residents and business owners who were anxious to stop
the construction of a 24/7 medical centre on the historic Stiver
Mill property. After being successful in that venture, the Association
expanded its interests:
Now called the Unionville Villagers' Association, we were incorporated
in 2009 as an affiliate of the
- To preserve, improve & promote the heritage buildings
& heritage environment within the Unionville Heritage Conservation District,
- To enhance the public's appreciation and understanding
of Unionville's heritage buildings and heritage environment.
Ontario Historical Society.
We are non-profit group that works hard to fulfil our
goals. You will see us selling candles at our Main Street's
Olde Tyme Christmas Candlelight Parade, cleaning pathways, and monitoring
events at the Town that could affect our beautiful heritage
Main Street or the heritage buildings or heritage environment
in the surrounding area. Come out and join us!
We meet each month, except July, August & December.
Our usual meeting takes place is
the Old Unionville Train Station, 7 Station Lane, Unionville, at 7pm.
Our Annual General Meeting is held in November,
usually in the Varley Art Gallery.
